Who else is excited for the long weekend?!? We’re headed to ATL to see Nathan’s sister graduate from high school, then it’s off to Nashville. I couldn’t be more excited about this Nashville trip because I’ve never been before, but I’ve heard it’s awesome. My taste in music is pretty eclectic (hello, I’m from Maine and I’m black), so even the thought of catching some great country acts is pretty thrilling … I love me some Little Big Town.
In case you missed it
I finally figured out how to balance juggling a blog with juggling my life
Nathan and I went to the Greenville Artisphere and got a little culture, wine, and food
I met up with my Style Collective ladies at Vivace to celebrate the launch of the group’s podcast
My baby boy graduated from middle school yesterday and I held it together like a champ
Hopefully, everyone has some great plans on their agenda, but if you happen to be around town this weekend, wondering what to do, check out these Charlotte happenings:
Speed Street
Circle K Speed Street presented by Coca Cola is a personal favorite as the kids and I usually go every year to hear the music, walk Tryon, and meet some great street vendors … I typically never go to the actual Coca Cola 600 race because I’m not a fan of all the congestion when it’s time to leave.
National Burger Day
Make sure you grab a burger on Sunday … it’s National Burger Day duh dunior … from one of these favorites:
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar – I’ve tried every burger at Bad Daddy’s, and I love them all, but the Cantina Burger has my heart.
Cowbell Burger & Whiskey Bar – Boogan’s Bacon with a banana pudding milkshake … mmmm
The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar – The Black Truffle Cheese Burger is yum, but if you’re going for something a little different, the Nature Boy’s WOOOOO-shi BuffalOOOOO-shi Roll is pretty darn awesome.
Kickstand Burger – They’re celebrating with a buy one burger, get one half off deal and the Booty Burger is my personal favorite. The turkey is perfectly moist, not like some turkey burgers that make you think you hate turkey as a beef substitute.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Oh yum, I’m going to have to make sure we celebrate National Burger day here, haha! Thanks for the heads-up!
Enjoy the long weekend and the graduation. Hope you have a wonderful time in Nashville 🙂

Definitely have a burger! I’m switching over to eating better on Tuesday, so I will definitely be having a burger … my last one for a while lol
I’m in Atlanta! Hopefully you’ll have time to do something fun before heading to Nashville (which is pretty amazing by the way).

The time went by so fast, so we really didn’t have time for much, but we did visit this super cute coffee shop Saturday morning, Circa, that would recommend to everyone.
