It’s Friday, we made it!! Give yourself a pat on the back. Is it just me or even when the week is short, it still seems SO long?! I got a lot done on the blog and even got a bit personal with my sharing this week, so:

Everyone make sure to treat yo self with a doughnut (I’m from New England, we don’t say “donut”) at one of my local faves today for National Doughnut Day:
Duck Donuts – This is V’s absolute fave! We go next door to Innovative Eye Care and across the street to Dilworth Pediatrics, so it’s always a fun treat after eye probing or sad needlework. If you like piping hot doughnuts AND watching them cook in front of you, this is your place. Today you get a free doughnut with any purchase and who doesn’t love that.
MJ’s Donuts – Run by a mom and daughter, and located in a little strip mall in Pineville, these are some of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. I don’t even know who to describe them, they’re just classic good doughnuts that remind of a shop I always went to back home in Maine called Frosty’s Donuts. I should add, I don’t know if it’s just me being special, but every time I go, they always throw in a handful of doughnut holes … extra treat!
Your Mom’s Doughnuts – Super cute family run doughnut shop in Matthews, but fo reelz, all I can say is get there before they sell out … and they DO sell out on the regular by/before noon!
Have an extra doughnut for me because I’m still stuck on no carbs until Monday … ugh.
All of those doughnut places sound amazing!!! I didn’t end up getting a doughnut today but I do have leftover birthday cake to finish from this week so we have been snacking on that 🙂

I totally missed National Donut Day and I’m super sad about it 🙁 Next year for sure! I’d love an excuse to go to Dunkin’ Donuts for a Peanut Butter Croissant Donut.
Oh my goodness! you’ve inspired me to find some good donuts places in my area. Plain old DD won’t cut it after looking at some of these places…The breakfast sandwich at the Duck Donuts!!! WOW!!
Love the mention of local donut shops. Mom and pop shops seem to be a rarity these days.
Totally makes me want to make doughnuts now. Need to start rifling through the recipes lol….good for you with the no carbs. My biggest weakness in life. Doesn’t help that I bake all the time lol. Great post 😀
We only have Dunkin and Tim Hortons where I live, but I keep seeing Duck Donuts everywhere on Instagram, so it must be good!! 🙂
